Some general suggestions for new players:[]
- You go to war with the army you have now. Don't worry or concern yourself with what your team lacks. Find ways to optimize what you have.
- Don't burn GP on 10 point (or higher!) Skill Matches until you have a good handle on the game.
- In fact, don't touch Skill Matches at all. You're best early return is grinding through Challenge Matches.
- Don't burn Energy Balls on random draws unless they are very favorable. The most favorable draws so far are replay draws (where you can draw again if you only pull a 3 star player), but any improved chances to get 4+ star players might be worth your time/money.
- Normal random draws are supposed to always be a 1 or 2 star player. Red balls are (almost?) always coaches
- If you get a 5 star Coach of any kind - save it! However, 3 and 4 star Coaches can be cautiously burned.
- Try to avoid burning Energy Balls on expanding the Badge Box if you can. You will eventually need/want to do this, but don't fall in love with too many players.
- Use lower star rating players to train other lower star rating players. You get better training benefits by using higher level players when training. For example, training a 1-star, level 1 midfielder with another 1-star, level 1 midfielder will yield a 1-star, level 4 or 5 midfielder. The resulting 1-star, level 4 or 5 midfielder provides better training benefit than the two individual players. It doesn't seem to pay off to do this with additional levelings (at least beyond maybe level 7).
